Simeon Bankov was born and raised in Pleven in an artistic family.
With a mother pianist, he started studying music even before primary school. He received his musical education in Pleven’s National School of Arts ‘Panayot Pipkov’ starting with percussions in the class of Dimitar Solakov and later transferring to classical guitar in the classes of Borislav Nankov and Nikolay Mihaylov.
Throughout his school years, he had the chance to work with great teachers. He had vocal training with Doroteya Lyutskanova in DORI DIOS Music Center, piano lessons with Hristina Lincheva and blues and jazz improvisation with Lubomir Anov.
The classical guitar training laid a solid musical foundation, but his passion is blues and rock improvisation.
