Joanna Stavreva is born on 23th January 1991 in Shumen, Bulgaria. She has been а student of the school for young talents “Be a star” with the vocal coach Marianna Stavreva. During the years she has taken part in many national and international singing competitions and festivals. She has become a representative of Bulgaria in the international music festival in Rumania in 2008 and in Moscow in 2009.
For over ten years Joanna has been developing herself not only as a solo performer, but she has also been a part of the “Prima Vista” quartet. They have successfully made records and had concerts with the Big Band of the Bulgarian National Radio. Their debut single “How many times in my sleep”, written by Valentin Penzov, has been released in 2009. A year later, the very famous Bulgarian musician Peppy Pisarsky specially writes the second song of the quartet which has been produced by The National Radio of Bulgaria. With this song “Prima Vista” appear in selection for Bulgarian song in “Eurovision” on Bulgarian National Television.
In 2010 Joanna has been accepted to study in National Academy of music “Professor Pancho Vladigerov” in the town of Sofia where she has been studying Pop and Jazz singing in the class of professor Stefka Onikyan. In 2011 Joanna plays the main role of Dorothy in the musical “The Wizard of Oz” presented in the Youth Theatre of Sofia in 2012.
During her education she works as a professional singer. In 2014 she has become a soloist of the band “Next step band”. They play together in Italy, France, Spain, Palma de Mallorca, Malta and others.
Joanna has completed her Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy in Sofia University and is now part of HighLight Singing Academy’s team.
